I am an experienced marketing and communications specialist with a varied career which spans over two decades. From my first foray into a sales and marketing role in the tourism and hospitality industry, I then took a quick detour into the third sector focusing on marketing and PR within a fundraising team, before joining the energy industry over 10 years ago.Following a short break from the corporate world, when I worked as a successful freelancer, supporting an exciting portfolio of small business clients while raising two little boys, I rejoined the energy sector with a role at global safety training giant, RelyOn Nutec.As Head of Marketing and Customer Experience, it's my job to build our brand and raise our profile within the offshore energy sector and beyond, while ensuring all our delegates enjoy an exceptional training experience whether they are visiting one of our UK facilities (in Aberdeen, Teesside and Liverpool) or undertaking some of our adaptive digital learning courses online.Operating within the UK commercial department in Aberdeen, and alongside our global marketing team in Copenhagen, I love the variety that my job offers within this organisation which is so much more than a training provider. Our purpose is to save lives by delivering the skills, knowledge and competences that people working in hazardous environments need. We're playing a key role in bridging the skills gap for energy transition, supporting our clients as they navigate towards net zero, and making sure that the people who work to keep our lights on, can do so safely.
