As a senior, I was hired as a student coordinator for STEM Immersion. While my previous experience with the program allowed me to develop leadership skills and make mentorship connections with new students, as a coordinator I was involved with the administrative logistics of the program. My duties included: o Co-Assistant Student Director: oversee and assist other student coordinators with their roleso Committee Representative: sit on faculty committees as voice of studentso Schedule Manager: synthesize a 4-day program and make necessary reservations and purchaseso Designer: Create promotional materials for the program ranging from T-shirts to a 30-page guide.

The Bement Lab studies how cells build and control transient cytoskeletal arrays. Most of our recent work has revolved around cell membrane repair using Xenopus laevis oocytes as a model organism. I specifically study the role of Annexin A6 in the wound response by using fluorescence imaging and biochemical assays.

I assisted with cloning and protein purification of AHR/ARNT complexes. My own project was the cloning of NF-kB subunits into a co-expression cassette and to create deletion constructs of MTDH in order to study the structure of the binding domain for the two proteins.
