The School of Biological Sciences has recently introduced a new postgraduate program in Quantitative Biology. I am working with the academic and professional teams to support industry linkages to ensure a collaborative and integrative approach for a modern and work-relevant curriculum.

As part of UQ's Faculty of Science Engagement team, I have assisted with a variety of outreach events, ranging from UQ Open Day to Experience Science events targeted at highschool students. Since late 2018, this has included the design and delivery of statistics workshops for both secondary teacher and students, to aid in the introduction of the new Queensland senior syllabus.

I previously worked as the lead academic administration assistant on a curriculum mapping project utilising The Journey Maker, a curriculum mapping tool designed by UQ's eLIPSE team. The Walter-Furlong Lab engaged in a project testing novel herbicides on Australian Weeds of National Significance, in collaboration with Professor Craig Williams. Within this project, my role was primarily to germinate, grow, maintain and manage experiments with these weed species. This role also involved molecular lab work relating to several other projects, including DNA extractions and sequencing.

During my Honours year, I worked as a tutor for the Faculty of Science - these tutors were available during semester in the Science Learning Centre, and would assist students with any general or course-specific questions they might have. During my time in this role, I primarily tutored first year students undertaking biology, statistics, and general science courses.

During this period, I studied at The University of Queensland in the Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours) program.
