Supervise 230 laboratories across the Gulf Coast Market which includes Mobile, Al and the Panhandle of Florida. Supervise and administer the Quality Assurance program to meet patient care and regulatory agency requirements for all locations in the GCMG.Work with facility and department leaders to implement new programs that monitor performance, collect and evaluate performance data utilizing the Joint Commission Accreditation Management Program (AMP), develop corrective action plans, and assist in the training and education of personnel regarding Point-of-Care and Quality activities for the laboratory. Act as a liaison to all partnered laboratories and provide education regarding CRC screening test to all offices. Standardize laboratory competency processes and decrease clinical variability across the GCMG. Successfully standardized specimen collection processes via lean green belt practices.Standardized critical value reporting for all GCMG locations, contracted laboratories (Quest and LabCorp), as well as 2 partnering hospitals (Providence Hospital and Sacred Heart Pensacola).Facilitate new hire laboratory orientation for the GCMG in three locations (Destin, Fl, Pensacola, FL and Mobile, AL)Consult with physicians and clinical pharmacists regarding complicated patient cases and offer guidance regarding next steps in diagnostic efforts.Keeps abreast of current trends and practices in the field of diagnostic lab and new technologies.
