Early on in my undergraduate studies, I found an interest and curiosity in neuroscience. I have to thank my psychology background for this interest, but ultimately out of both disciplines did I find unique areas of study and topics that I truly felt passionate about. Graduating at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic while simultaneously working in the hospital setting proved to be a major shift in my career goal decisions. Working alongside nurses and seeing firsthand their heartfelt contributions and delivery of care despite the unknown as the pandemic unfolded inspired me to shift gears toward nursing. I am on a heartfelt pursuit of the clinical and nursing world while being reminded every day about my interest in the cognitive effects of built environments, brain and bodily response to stress, and public health.
