After completing a Bachelor of Education through Simon Fraser University, I began my career as a classroom teacher. A few years later I completed a Masters of Education with a focus on Imaginative Education to broaden my knowledge and open the doors to more opportunities.I have worked as an educator in urban and rural schools in British Columbia for over 20 years. I have taught in K-12 public schools with roles that include Inclusive Teacher of Special Responsibility, Elementary classroom teacher, Band, Learning Assistance, Academic Advising, Blended and Online teacher. Over the past ten years, I have focused on working with a team to create a blended program for students with Autism which melds online and face to face learning opportunities in a relationship-centered environment. I am passionate about designing inclusive environments that benefit all children. My work with Queen’s University began as an online instructor in the BC Post Grad Certificate programs of Special Education and Mathematics.
