Monitoring and mentoring Assessment Associates through the GCE Moderation period for Pearson’s Art & Design Qualifications. - Managing a regional team of moderators, I train them up on behalf of the exam board to be able to moderate Art Qualifications at GCE level across the country and ensure excellent practice and consistency across all areas of the National Standard. In addition to my own allocation of centres, I oversee all of my teams’ visits, accompany them to centres and provide them with support in their role during the moderation period. I also proof read their reports, cross check data entry and write summative reports for each centre, moderator and qualification.

Over the course of this rigorous, highly independent, research driven, student led course, I have persisted in developing and writing about ideas relating to growth, philosophy, mental health, education and the community, through an inter-disciplinary approach to critical theory. My final thesis entitled "Lost in Transit" - notes on a world in flux, drawn from crisis - was delivered, by post, to my tutor, from backstage at Primavera festival, Barcelona; where I was performing.

Helped achieve and maintain (non-selective ‘Art for All’) department target of 95% A*-C from year 1 of teaching. - Spent 8 years teaching in secondary comprehensive, delivering ‘outstanding’ lessons in one of the most highly regarded ‘Lead’ Art Departments in the country. - Developed and lead an outstanding critical studies thread within the school, established, lead and developed popular weekly Art Enrichment Club for all year groups and abilities – including artist talks, weekly Life Drawing Workshops and regular gallery visits. - Skilled in critical studies, special needs education and Art consultancy. - Has produced and led teacher workshops for galleries including the Photographer’s Gallery and run student workshops at RCA. - 10 years’ experience moderating GCSE and GCE level Art qualifications across the country for Pearson-Edexcel ensuring National Standard is consistent and maintained. - 6 years’ experience as lead examiner and team leader for the GCE moderation group, training and mentoring a group of experiences teacher-examiners for Pearson. - Experience in pastoral care and in mentoring students of all abilities, ages groups and ethnicity.
