I have 11+ years’ experience of working in the Health and Wellbeing Field. I have been a movement teacher for 9 years. I am a self-confessed movement geek. I love exploring how the body moves and how powerful the connection between how we think and move is. I have extensive CPD training in all the major joints of the body and I now specialise in pain management. Whether you have aches and pains or a long term issue I can help. I am a big believer that no-one is broken and in need of fixing, simply that we have movement patterns and habits that can be tweaked to help manage issues. I use a whole body approach to explore what is going on in your body and how it is all interlinked. Alongside nutrition tips to help you support your body.I’ve worked in the third sector for 11 years in the field of health and social care; I’ve worked with a range of client groups. I have strong facilitation skills to allow me to deliver training at an appropriate level to the group and I have the flexibility to make adjustments accordingly. I am a strong presenter with good communication skills. What my clients say:• “The level of exercise just right and I have appreciated the tips on how to instantly relieve stress and improve my feelings of wellbeing. I always end the sessions feeling relaxed & calm and ready to face the day.”• “My mobility and flexibility is very much increased and strength also greatly improved, all adding to a decrease in pain and the need to take painkillers.”• “You wouldn't believe how much learning to stand, walk and breathe correctly can lower your pain levels! Since joining the class I can stand for longer and my balance has improved. Before joining the class, I couldn't get down on the floor or back up again without help - now I can!” MY CLIENTS: People who feel like their pain is holding them back or that want to keep their bodies supple as they move through life. A plumber with a back injury who wants to be able to do his job without taking strong painkillers, a mum who wants to be able to run around with her kids without worrying about her pelvic floor, a retired person who can’t put their coat on due to a shoulder injury but doesn’t want to feel old before his time. “For me it’s a revelation to find a teacher (Jenny) who understands the challenges faced by people with reduced mobility. The fact that she has given sitting and standing options is brilliant. Her can do attitude and sympathetic approach has been a revelation. I have appreciated being able to do the classes on zoom from my own space.”

Business OwnerActive-Eat Jan 2013 - PresentBradford, United KingdomI am a self-confessed movement geek. I love exploring how the body moves and how powerful the connection between how we think and move is. Movement has always been a big part of my life, I grew up doing a lot of sport and competing at an international level. In 2006 I was diagnosed with ME/CFS, and determined to keep movement in my life I improved my health, energy levels and quality of life through yoga and nutrition. I went on to qualify as a yoga teacher and a nutritionist. I now specialise in back care and pain management through movement.I run online and face-to-face Feel Better Pain Management Sessions. These are for people with health issues including (but not limited to) arthritis, back, hip, neck and shoulder pain, fibromyalgia, ME/CFS, long covid and other long-term health conditions.I have an online monthly membership, Active Joints, for people who have aches, pains and niggles who want to keep their body moving and age well.I also do 1-1 consultations. My 1-1 clients find working with me beneficial for so many reasons. Some are recovering from injury or illness and really benefit from the tailored support they receive in an individual session. Others want to explore or deepen a certain area of their practice that may not be covered in a usual class. Often, 1-1 sessions are the easiest and most convenient way to schedule in a weekly practice if you find yourself short of time. I have also had beginners join me for a few personal sessions to ‘get going’ before joining a regular class.I run corporate sessions for business. Whether you’re looking for a weekly yoga class to promote wellbeing, or a one-off workshop, I can help. Workshops usually focus on a specific topic such as back-pain, stress-relief, or nutrition. Alternatively, sessions can also be tailored to combine these elements to create a unique class for your Company. -
