Delivering targeted family support, involving the whole family by using the Early Help Assessment, completing direct work with children and signposting families to appropriate services, offering advice and support and using interventions such as Solihull approach and Bookstart to achieve positive outcomes. Supporting parents with getting appropriate services involved such as SENDIASS, completing referrals to speech and language or paediatrics and providing evidence to support such as sensory checklists, working with settings to provide a complete picture of the needs of the child. Making sure parents are accessing their children's development checks, liaising with Health Visitors supporting families to access their local GP and dentist, supporting them to get registered if they are not already, making sure children are accessing their immunisations and advising parents to rebook if needed. Empowering families to make positive changes to support the family needs, whether this is trying a new bedtime routine, accessing the community, making healthy choices. Completing Team Around the Family meetings with a range of professionals, working alongside these and building up a network of professionals to liaise with including health visitors, paediatrics, schools, nurseries, speech and language, mental health services, drug and alcohol, housing children's centres, family run centres and perinatal mental health support services. Adherence to safeguarding policies, making sure all interventions are recorded effectively, liaising with First Response (Staffordshire's safeguarding team) to escalate families for further support, using the Safeguarding threshold model to make sure the families are getting the right support at the right time.

was part of the Early Years team for the Perry Barr locality, my job required me to provide services for our community, whether this was providing crèche or stay and plays or going out into the community to promote two year funding, visit new mothers to promote our services or liaising with other professionals to help support the families who used our services.I wrote reports on a number of children who I tracked and documented their progress over the school term, planned varied sessions for the families making sure they extended the children’s learning and gave parents’ ideas to do at home. I planned and wrote workshops around oral health, reducing sugar and encouraging healthy lifestyles which were given to the whole team and they were encouraged to implement this information with the families they supported.I was in charge of giving out resource packs to promote play, speech and language, I encouraged my team to give these out to the community we supported, these packs were also used in sessions. We showed families how they were to be used and gave them suggestions on how they could encourage more language with their children. I helped support the team with their IT issues, such as providing support for Microsoft programmes and online programmes, this included support for staff on using the Ipads and I also wrote a guide for parents on how to use Tapestry Online Learning Journals which have been used to support parents with accessing their child’s learning journal online.

I also provided specialised sessions for their pre-school children with additional needs.I had opportunities to carry out the lead practitioner role when the Nursery has been short staffed, this involved leading activities, delegating tasks to other members of staff, engaging with parents and teaching the children. ver the 5 and a half years I worked for Hotel Chocolat I spent two years as a Sales Assistant, I supported guests who came into the store, I displayed excellent customer service by making them feel welcomed and relaxed while they shopped in store. I gave advice on products and provided guests with tasting opportunities. I also contributed to the general running of the store, keeping the store and stock room clean, tidy and organised.I spent 3 years as a Senior Sales Assistant. As a Senior I was a duty manager and a key holder this involved dealing with any issues guests had and delegated tasks to staff I was working with on shift. I supported with training new staff, carried out initiatives to encourage staff to sell products and to keep them motivated. I led on stock rotation, to minimise waste, completed random checks on stock levels and contributing to stock count. I was able to import and export stock to and from other stores and completed write offs of damaged stocks.
