As Vice President of Design and Construction, Jenny Rutledge is responsible for managing the day-to-day development of design concepts and three-dimensional identity for hotel and hospitality projects. She is in charge of project schedules and as an expert in scale and proportion, maintains quality control for all interior architectural drawings and the documentation for large hotel and hospitality projects. Jenny’s detail-oriented approach to every task ensures that projects run on time and within budget. Her innate ability to mentor and to bring out the best in others inspires the SPS staff to reach their potential in these 3-D areas of practice. Jenny credits growing up at the beach with her expertise in scale and proportion: “Being surrounded by the natural beauty and vastness of the ocean and open sky always inspired me to try to capture something special in anything I created.” When asked why she has been at SPS for as long as she has, she explains, “I have been side-by-side with Libby since SPS’s infancy, through our down-sizing and through rebuilding the firm. We used to joke that we could design a hotel AND wash your car. Moving forward and maturing as experts in our field, there is no one I would rather continue to grow with than Libby and our team.”
