During my time at enFocus, I worked on and managed a variety of technical projects. I assessed current state operations at manufacturers and provided data-driven recommendations, performed data analysis and provided guidance and training to team members who never worked with data analysis before, submitted technical grants for manufacturers and small business (NSF SBIR), and developed a market strategy assessment designed to assess a business' strategy for business development and customer and sales management.

Laboratory For Advancing Sustainable Critical Infrastructure

I created and led my own independent research project within the Laboratory for Advancing Sustainable Critical Infrastructure at Purdue University. My project focused on attempting to predict wildfire paths using deep learning methods. I collected, cleaned, and analyzed data using a variety of tools including R, Ruby, Selenium, bash scripts, ImageMagick, and tesseract.

This internship was focused on reducing the cost of poor quality (money lost from product being returned) at the Calphalon Cookware returns department. While working I found several major issues that exacerbated this metric, including inadequate packaging leading to damaged product. I resolved this issue with the packaging team. I also worked to implement a dashboard for monitoring the cost of poor quality as well as returns data with PowerBI and trained coworkers on how to use it. I worked with data entry clerks to recommend an optimal solution for data entry and storage techniques, including implementing a new database that would sync with the dashboard.
