Lead the Healthcare Access and Equity Strategy to accelerate change within the healthcare system, ensuring that all children and their families have equitable, high-quality, and consistent access to healthcare

-Recruit health insurers, employers and associations to join the Alliance Healthcare Initiative-Provide day-to-day support for multiple health insurers and employers to support their successful implementation of the Healthcare MOU.-Facilitate partnerships with medical associations, nonprofits and Alliance founding organizations to lead the development of consumer and healthcare provider education materials.-Lead cross-organizational collaborations with national medical associations, insurers, employers, and healthcare clinician experts to develop clinical support tools for clinicians.-Oversee academic, external evaluation team responsible for evaluating the Alliance Healthcare Initiative-Manage all legal review processes related to insurers, employers, associations and evaluators, including MOUs and data sharing agreements.-Lead efforts to establish best practices for consumer awareness and utilization of health benefits related to the Alliance Healthcare Initiative.

• Organized a coalition that was awarded a research contract by the UK’s National Health Service (NHS)• Develop the project as the acting lead for the coalition• Built key relationships with organizations around the world, including the WHO (Healthy Cities division), PAHO, the CDC, The Alliance to Make US Healthiest, Alliance for a Healthier Generation

• Assigned to the Office of Strategy and Innovation at the CDC on a temporary term to represent Humana • Lead liaison between Humana and CDC • Developed initiatives around “the next generation of public health”, an innovative approach to solving Public Health issues through a hybrid of public and private initiatives• Worked on internal projects for the CDC, creating projects to foster innovation throughout the organization

• Served as lead project manager for all research initiatives within the Health Services Research Center’s Health Behavior Laboratory• Managed a research portfolio that included studying the fidelity of Humana’s Personal Nurses to Motivational Interviewing, using expert patients as a model to promote diabetes management through DVD’s, and looking at the effectiveness of an exer-game among the elderly population • Sat on a panel at the University of Miami Medical School that was pursuing the development of a new obesity research center• Supported Humana’s core business’ efforts in the development of new wellness programs through a number of secondary research initiatives

• Relocated to London, on temporary assignment, to work towards the development of new business partnerships allowing Humana to expand its partnerships worldwide and enter into new territories in International healthcare systems • Worked as the lead employee for Humana’s International Operations, meeting with top representatives at the National Health Service (NHS), the leading governmental organization for healthcare in the UK • Developed a framework for commissioning to change the UK’s healthcare strategy for the future• Interviewed and recruited UK candidates and helped to build the team which is now formally called Humana Europe, Ltd.

• Completed graduate Public Health internship at the Diabetes Research Institute (DRI) • Designed a project to assess the prevalence of binge eating disorder in people with type 2 diabetes in a multi-ethnic population. • Coordinated the project, recruited participants, pulled records, input data, and analyzed the results

• Worked as a research associate Project SMILE, a randomized controlled design intervention to enhance oral health care for persons living with HIV • Focused on identifying the personal and structural barriers preventing HIV positive individuals from utilizing oral health services and developing strategies to overcome these barriers • Performed literature reviews and data analysis for Project SMILE’s team • Assisted in preparing an article to be submitted for publication

• Coordinated meetings between students and professors and was the liaison between the two parties • Assisted the teaching program faculty with the curriculum, maintained the teaching program database systems and assisted prospective students and graduate students with application and registration procedures• Represented the department and school while attending the annual American Public Health conference in 2003 and 2004
