I have been elected as the President of the Alpha Nu Chapter - Eta Sigma Gamma at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. As a member of the national honorary, I have been able to connect with other students in the major, gained volunteer experiences, and obtained information about professional opportunities within the local community.

Eta Sigma Gamma is a public health-based, national, honorary organization. SPARTA stands for Spartans Promoting Awareness and Resources To All at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. It is a program started by one of our own public health education colleagues, and I have joined to have more experience with facilitating a health education event and building my public speaking skills. Through this organization I have gained experiences in program development, program planning, and marketing skills.

The UNCG Guarantee Scholars Program is the reason why I am able to attend a university. Without this program, I would not have known the different resources available to me on campus, had a mentor throughout these past 3 years, and grown as person. Through the workshops we attend, I did some self discovery, worked on leadership development, built a professional image, and found my dream career goal.
