Creative Science Australia is a Sydney-based science communication business offering live science shows and expert science communication services, with a focus on communicating science to children. Past work includes: - Writing and presenting live science shows for schools, preschools, and special events.- Designing science kits and writing instruction books for over 30 science kits for WILD! Science and other international brands produced by Tree Toys Taiwan.- Writing and research for children’s television, including ‘WOW! That’s Amazing’ for ABC TV, ‘Kim and Courtney’s Theory of Awesomeness’ for Disney XD, and ‘Excited Particles’ for Questacon and the ABC.- Developing and presenting hands-on workshops for preschool children, early childhood educators, families at special events, and gifted and talented primary school students.- Creating science trivia quizzes and online resources for various science communication projects, including the ‘Brain Break’ packs produced for National Science Week.- Writing, presenting, and producing ‘Creative Science for Kids’, a science podcast for children aged 8-12 years.

CAASTRO - ARC Centre of Excellence for All-sky Astrophysics 'CAASTRO in the Classroom' (CitC) was an outreach program designed toengage Australian school students with research scientists and PhDstudents. From 2015-2017, Jenny managed a project to expand CAASTRO in the Classroom nationally, to develop classroom resources for teachers, and deliver professional development workshops for teachers.

Jenny managed the Sydney office of Questacon, coordinating a number of science outreach programs, supervising staff and managing facilities to deliver programs in the Sydney metropolitan area and across Australia to regional and remote locations. Key achievements:- Effectively created and lead a harmonious team of talented science communicators to deliver high quality programs- 2009, honoured with a Leadership Award from the Australian Government Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research- 2008, implemented a new operating model for a road safety education program, NRMA RoadZone, including in-school science shows and a hands-on exhibition in public libraries- 2007, established Questacon Science Play, a national touring program of hands-on science workshops for preschool children and professional development for early childhood educators- Worked with other organisations to deliver programs and represented Questacon on committees and judging panels including the Premier’s Science Teachers Scholarships and the National Science Week Grants committee

Jenny developed and presented science shows and hands-on workshops that were delivered to tens of thousands of school students, preschool children and adults.Key achievements:- 2001, with another Education Officer, established the Questacon Science Squad in Sydney- Developed and presented many science shows and workshops, notably the Photonics Show, the Greenhouse Effect Show and Workshop, the Extreme Energy Show, the Slime Show, the Electricity Show and the Freaky Forces Show. Venues included schools, preschools, environment fairs, NSW Parliament House, the Australian Museum, the Powerhouse Museum, the University of Sydney, Singapore Science Centre, shopping centres, and special events.- 2004 regular guest on 'The Big Arvo', a children's television show on Channel 7

Jenny was a research scientist in a world class neurophysiology laboratory where she undertook painstaking electrophysiological experiments to determine the nature of blood vessel control by neurotransmitters.

After completing an Honours project with the Department of Radiation Oncology in 1996, Jenny was employed in the Physics Section where she worked alongside engineers, doctors, nurses and radiation therapists to deliver radiotherapy treatment to cancer patients.
