Operations manager for Viable Business Hub, a collaborative platform for businesses in the region, spearheaded by industrial companies, aimed at collectively generating innovative sustainable solutions and reducing CO2 emissions. Jenny's mission is to establish and develop the operations.2020-2021: Process manager for Future Sustainable Industrial Environments Project, a sustainable collaboration between industrial companies in the Greater Umeå Area, including Umeå Energi, Komatsu Forest, ABB, Volvo, Ålö, Peab, and several SME and subcontractors. Other active partners in the project is RISE (Research institute of Sweden), the County Council of Västerbotten, Umeå university, Umeå municipality and Esam.

Led multiple preliminary studies and projects aimed at addressing the crucial issue of workforce development in Northern Sweden.- Collaborative projects aimed at positioning industrial companies in the Umeå region and identifying and executing joint activities for recruiting and training personnel. Collaborators included Volvo Trucks, SCA, Komatsu Forest, Ålö/Quicke, Umeå Energi, Rototilt, Norrmejerier, and Olofsfors.- Commissioned by the Västerbottens Chamber of Commerce to explore the conditions for establishing a regional Graduate Trainee Program in the county. Conducted interview surveys, workshops, and organized events throughout 2023.

Coordinated the establishment of Västerbotten Sweden, a collaborative initiative among destinations, regional tourism organizations, businesses, and municipalities during the project's initial phase. The aim of Västerbotten Sweden was to position Västerbotten as an appealing international destination for both visitors and residents alike.

Project manager for 'Sustainable Place Development in Umeå'. Engaged in strategic work aimed at producing a collaborative model for destination development, urban and regional planning within Umeå municipality. The project also involved facilitating the development of 'Ersmarksbergets Aktivitetsområde,' a multidisciplinary event, sports, and recreational area in Umeå.

Conducted a pilot study on the feasibility of establishing a hub for creative industries in Umeå, exploring potential conditions and considering the establishment of a 'House of Games' in the city.

Process development in collaboration with WDO involved strategic analysis, interview surveys, workshops, and the production of regional strategy documents.• Digitization: Developed a framework for broadband strategies for 13 municipalities in Västerbotten and contributed to a regional strategy for digital infrastructure. (Jan-June 2021)• Social entrepreneurship: Conducted a pilot study and developed a collaboration plan for the region, the county's municipalities, companies, and civil society to enhance future collaboration in strengthening social entrepreneurship. Facilitated the establishment and coordination of Sweden’s inaugural large-scale city 5G testbed in Umeå, with a specific emphasis on fostering development within the Innovation Arena. Umeå 5G stands as a Triple Helix collaboration involving Umeå Science Park, Umeå University, the Västerbotten County Council, Umeå Municipality, and national as well as global telecommunications and innovation entities like Telia and Ericsson.

Jennys company had a four year long assignment in innovation management at VLL Innovation AB, Västerbotten County Council's fully owned innovation company; delivering process leaders, strategic assessments, policy and economic analysis and a validated, value based model for taking innovations in partnership from idea to effect, which led to Västerbotten becoming a national spearhead for innovation in the healthcare sector.

- Project manager for Energy Care - a collaborative initiative between a regional energy company and county council, including research, interviews, workshops, as well as development of business models and communication strategies. - Facilitating coaching- and communication workshops with different units as well as managers within the organization, e.g. strengthening the management team, innovation development processes, company branding, and internal conflict resolution.

Strategic development for the Science Park in UmeåTasked with conducting a needs assessment and providing recommendations for the organizational structure and operational approach of the regional Science Park initiative. The initiative stands as a strategic priority for the region, fostering partnerships among local authorities, the county council, the university, and the private sector. Its objective is to stimulate research and development, foster innovation, attract investments, and drive economic growth within the region.Communication strategyDeveloped a long-term communication strategy for the EU-project Cleaner Growth (later North Sweden Cleantech), a regional initiative supporting the commercialization of business concepts originating from academic research and fostering the growth of clean tech companies.

Business coach and educator for start-up companies, through the regional incubators BIC Factory and Krenova. Supporting new entrepreneurs in various fields with business strategies and a goal-oriented approach to entrepreneurship, including communication and presentation skills, productivity, stress management and development processes. 20 occasions of individual coaching and 11 various workshops. Also: one of the jurors in Venture Cup; Sweden’s largest contest for business ideas 2014.

The creator of online magasine Mereffekt.nu: writing chronicles, making interviews for the magazine and email blogging list with over 2000 subscribers.

I have been a regular guest lecturer in the academic world on and off for 16 years, teaching communication skills. At Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm I held courses about popular science writing and press releases for international PhD-students in medicin. At Umeå University I have been teaching Media- and Communication Studies and Journalism, as well as creativity and project management for the students at the program for cultural entrepreneurs.1998-2002 I had an employment as a regular teacher at Institutionen för Kultur och Medier at Umeå Universitet.
