I support teachers at an elementary school grades K-5 in Hickman Mills. I help teachers set goals to achieve throughout the year and develop teacher leaders. I manage building professional development and facilitate data meetings.

As a member of this board, I review applications for emergency funds from current KCTR residents to obtain funds from the National Center for Teacher Residencies’ Black Educator Initiative.

I designed and facilitated a two week long course to introduce the four content areas and best teaching practices: teaching reading, math, science, and social studies. I designed this course for 16 pre-service teacher residents and fellows to prepare them to take the four required elementary content exams

I have been hired back to design a course that prepares future elementary teachers for their content exams that they will take in the Fall of 2023. I will teach best teaching practices, content-specific subject area, and test taking strategies.

I teach a group of early childhood students. I plan, implement, and lead educational experiences with hands-on learning and Project Based Learning in mind.

I write technical and content pieces for different clients as a freelance writer. I pitch articles to editors, work with editors to meet the deadlines of the clients, and upload my work into dropbox or directly into WordPress.

I teach pre-service teachers about Elementary Math and Science content, methodology, and pedagogy to prepare them to take the Missouri Teacher Content exams related to the teaching profession. I prepare lesson plans, learning activities, and assessments with the guidance of KCTR.

I mentored and coached a pre-service teacher in my 2nd-grade classroom. I led coaching conversations, provide feedback on lessons, classroom management, and teaching skills to lead her in the discovery of her teaching philosophy.

As a teacher resident with Kansas City Teacher Residency, I am placed in an urban KCMO school to observe classroom instruction, gain valuable teaching tips from my mentor teacher, and ultimately, become a lead teacher in an elementary classroom. Along with student teaching this fall, I am taking classes to not only get certified in elementary teachings, but also I am going to Park University to get my Masters of Arts in Urban Education.

I led and planned meetings with my district grade-level team and wrote, edited, and updated assessments based on the current curriculum, state standards, and educational climate. During the 2020-2021 school year, we have been 100% virtual. As the lead teacher, I communicated with 2nd-grade teachers in the district on a regular basis and act as a liaison between district administration and 2nd-grade teachers in all buildings. I have created science, math, and ELA virtual resources, a collaborative google classroom, and several assessments for my team.

I am a proud educator of 2nd graders in the Hickman Mills School Disrict in Kansas City, Missouri. Millenium is a Project Based Learning School that teaches STEAM curriculum. I am certified to teach K-6 in the state of Missouri.

I teach the Innovation class to 5-12 year olds during summer camp at Science City. I lesson planned all of the daily activities for this class and ordered all of the materials for each session.

I develop programs for the museum and evaluate current offerings. I also write and facilitate tours and assist with administrative duties. While working at the museum, I have written a volunteer training manual, volunteer job descriptions, educational programs for the K-12 audience, family programs, and guided tours for the museum. {STEAM} Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math! I am currently working at Science City at Union Station as a Science Educator. I will be leading K-12 groups through the center as well as teaching STEAM programs to a diverse public as an educator.

I was a project manager of a text panel evaluation study conducted in two galleries within the museum. The study is three-part mixed methods study that will examine the ways in which visitors interact with and respond to the text panels within the permanent collection galleries. Visitors are observed throughout two galleries using a timing and tracking mobile app. Some visitors will be intercepted to be interviewed and asked to respond to additional prototypes of panels. The findings will help inform the creation of a new template for text panels across the museum.

I was contracted by ArtsKC to provide data compilation, analysis, research, and evaluation services to the organization. I evaluated ArtsKC Diversity Initiative programs by looking at past data to see if there is any room for growth or improvement. I developed surveys and distributed to program participants and constituents. At the end of the project, I compiled a comprehensive report with data results, conclusions, and recommendations for the future.

I, along with a co-teacher, taught in a early education center in Kansas City, Kansas. I facilitated everyday classroom activities, contributed to lesson plans, and helped with keep all of the children engaged throughout the day by providing different experiences in the classroom. We used Creative Curriculum that encourages all preschool children to be creative and confident learners.

I wrote a lesson plan for a Kimbell Kids Drop-In Studio class and assisted with facilitating the class. During the day, I performed administrative duties such as manage the 0-3 year old play area in Studio A, set up for upcoming programs, and assist with docent tours.

The museum contracted me to help with visitor research data collection on days the museum is open as well as during special events. I administered an iPad survey to visitors.

My responsibilities included leading tours, group activities, and learning center projects. The education team recently redeveloped the school experiences and outreach efforts to reflect the California Common Core Standards. I facilitated these tours and outreach programs as a museum educator for WDFM.

Earprint Productions is a San Francisco based company that creates mobile tours, immersive environments, and interactive exhibitions. I was contracted to assist with evaluation of a non-traditional mobile tour for a museum sculpture garden that relied on GPS location detection. My tasks included evaluating the visitor experience with the app, testing the app on iPhone software, evaluating the usage from the back-end through Roundware software and interpreting the results.

I researched effective visitor research techniques through art museum public programs, conducted evaluation of a large public program called the Picnic in the Park event during the 25th anniversary of the Donald J. Hall Sculpture Park, and compiled a comprehensive evaluation report and prospectus for the museum's further use.

I researched for some upcoming exhibitions at The Mexican Museum in San Francisco, including La Cocina, a pottery and photograph retrospective from Miguel and Rosa Covarrubias collection. I also researched educational opportunities, led educational activities, and volunteered at the front desk.

At FAMSF, I helped facilitate school tours for the special Monday school programs as well as Wednesday school tours in the galleries and in the education studios. I worked individually with a mentor teaching artist at the museum as well as with the education staff.

In general, I was responsible for assisting with the administration and implementation of education programs, conducting program registration, maintaining the studios, and performing other Education department duties. More specifically, I administered registration of students in all classes and public programs through Tessitura software system and excel spreadsheets. This included process of payment, maintenance of database and mailing lists, and tracking of participation. I was directly involved with several educational programs. I helped lead planning, organizing, and implementing Family and Children programs such as Summer Camp, Free Second Saturday, Arty Parties, and Home School Art classes. I also hired teaching artists, planned, and organized the monthly class with the Alzheimer’s Association through a program called Art Focus held on the third Tuesday of the month, and was the head registrar for every class at Philbrook.

I worked on an on-going project with Make-A-Wish called the Lexus Raffle for 2011. I organized the Lexus Raffle tickets, made detailed spreadsheets with mailing lists, took orders for tickets, and sorted and sent the tickets until my internship concluded in May.

I helped kickoff a membership program that the museum is implementing called Intro Charter membership and got people to join the museum this way. I performed extensive research for a capital campaign for the new art research facility that is going to be built in the downtown Brady District. For PR, I made donation baskets for various auctions or events for local businesses or sponsors of the museum. I coordinated with the writer of each of the requests and made the baskets/membership packets.
