In my role at Stir, I ensure students have a positive, fun class experience. I help prep food items for cooking, demonstrate effective cooking techniques, tend bar and provide superior customer service to a wide range of class attendees.

As Outreach Associate, I spearheaded social media outreach for the Association; assisted with email communications; helped with promotion for Coho/US sponsored events; createdmaterials for their website (www.cohousing.org) and play at integral role in planning for the National Cohousing Conferences and National Cohousing Open House Days.I was a regular blogger for Coho/US, an effort to showcase communities' efforts and highlight cohousing in the news. I've also created a comprehensive website map to showcase the geography of cohousing nationally, and it's already received over 15,000 views since its creation.

I began as an apprentice with the company, affording me the opportunity to learn alongside the company’s founder, Architect Kathryn McCamant, who’s the foremost U.S. authority on cohousing and has been integral in the development of dozens of communities. My position involved furthering the interests of cohousing nationally, acting as point-person for the company's website, social media, and email database. I provided my outreach and writing skills to communities-in-formation, aiding them with their recruitment, publicity and branding. See below for 2 examples of group websites I created for Washington House Cohousing and Novato Cohousing Now.One of my most significant projects was leading the outreach and implementation for the 500 Communities Training Program, a year-long course launched in September 2015 (now training its 2nd class) and intended to give professionals the skills needed to launch new communities.

As a Conference volunteer, I spear-headed social media and blogging to increase awareness about and attendance at the Conference. This included daily posts to the twitter feed, semi-weekly posts to my blog on the U.S. Cohousing Association's website and helping coordinate distribution of Press Releases and other promotional materials. In addition, I created a PowerPoint presentation for the Friday night Keynote dinner, as a way to recognize Conference Sponsors and celebrate built cohousing communities.

I spearheaded conducting office assessments with faculty and staff on-campus to evaluate baseline achievements and highlight areas where greater sustainability measures could be implemented through our Sustainable Office Certification Program. The program aims to reduce costs, conserve resources and promotes fairness, safety and health. I also organized bi-weekly Lunch & Learn sustainability conversations to bring students, staff/faculty and community members together to share stories and brainstorm environmental events and practices for both on and off-campus collaboration.I was lead organizer for Sweater Days, a campaign which included putting on a highly successful clothing exchange, with over 500 items donated and the rest re-purposed through a local clothing re-use artist organization.

Spent 2 months working with the Lopez Community Land Trust on Lopez Island in Washington as a sustainable agriculture intern. This position involved 40 hour work weeks on various farms including Lopez Vineyards, Horse Drawn Farm, Crowfoot Organic Berry Farm and at the Lopez school.

I worked as a server at a retirement home in Missoula, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner to hundreds of residents there. This included working with those in alzheimer's memory care, assisted living and independent living. The work was fast-paced and meticulous, allowing me to gain customer service skills as well.

At Weedbusters I helped with the collection, sorting and packaging of noxious weed eating insects for transport. This involved hours spent in intense heat for maximum collection potential and precision that came with counting insects individually and delicately.
