As a former educator in the Caribbean and Canada, there were many things that I loved about teaching, but nothing was more precious than the flash of understanding on a student’s face when she finally grasped a challenging concept. When I chose to move into technology, leading Dadavan was a natural fit. Dadavan’s software creates the “aha” moments that direct meaningful decisions in education planning and building of healthy and whole individuals and communities. Those decisions founded in data collection and analysis can have significant, positive impacts.I am surrounded by a diverse and talented team of professionals that provide incredible client service, develop exceptional products, and create meaningful change within our organization and beyond. Dadavan is best known for its student information system, Outcomes, which tracks students from early childhood through to high school graduation and finally on to post-secondary education. Outcomes and its supporting programs help on-reserve schools across seven Canadian provinces to improve student outcomes while maintaining ownership and privacy of sensitive data.Through conversations with our customers, we learned about the challenges and successes communities experienced in revitalizing culture, heritage, and language. We believe everyone has a story and perspective to contribute. Codex was developed to crowdsource culture, heritage, and language and then to share your legacy with the world. It easy for anyone to create, share, and archive beautiful, interactive galleries of digital images, text, sound and video.
