I have 10 years' experience In the public, community and academic sectors - creating and managing projects to inspire change. I also have a MSc in Rural Development, where my dissertation looked at local food supply chains in a remote rural community. Worked across the higher education, housing and community development sectors. - Assisted and developed 15 community land trust projects to provide affordable housing in perpetuity on community-owned land- Produced policy documents and identified policy and legal barriers to community land trusts- Promoted the suite of tools, guidance documents, funding and bespoke advice available to projects- Gave talks, ran workshops and wrote articles to engage the housing sector and CLT community in the demonstration project- Wrote a series of case studies to highlight how the CLT model works in practice and to identify key lessons learned- Worked to secure further rounds of funding for the demonstration project- Developed the first online community of practice for peer to peer networking and sharing good practice for CLTs- Visited CLTs in Minneapolis and Burlington, Vermont- Conducted an evaluation, published in 2009, which provided evidence of the success of the programme and ensured continued commitment and support of government and the Carnegie UK Trust to community land trusts.- Managed contracts and project managed the production of a short film showcasing the CLT projects -
