As the Executive Director of Literacy Texas, I oversee the strategic direction, operations, and partnerships of the backbone agency for a coalition of literacy-focused organizations across the state. As opportunities arise, I also serve as a keynote speaker, workshop presenter, and consultant specializing in education, literacy, and leadership issues. I have extensive experience in community collaboration and building strategic partnerships.I have worked more than 20 years in EC-12 schools, higher education institutions, and adult and community non-profits. This gives me a unique and well-rounded view of the education system as a whole. I have presented my research at regional and national conferences.
