Bc Provincial Position - Currently Working Out Of Tri-Cities

As a practice analyst I complete audit's of social work practice to assess compliance with standards and policies. I also complete case reviews following critical incidents. This includes writing reports summarizing findings and developing action plans with managers and involved staff to improve future compliance with standards and policies.

North Fraser (Burnaby, New Westminster, Tri-Cities, Maple Ridge)

As an ICM trainer I co-facilitated training sessions to teach social work staff the basics of the new ICM computer system. Following the launch of the system I spent a month providing one to one coaching and mentoring to staff as requested.

As I child protection social worker I worked in both intake and a family service roles. This included assessing child protection concerns, developing plans with families, preparing court documents and being a temporary guardian for children and youth in care. I often worked with complex family situations including intergenerational trauma and poverty. I also supervised practicum students and assisted in mentoring new staff.

New Westminster

As an acting team leader I was covering a maternity leave. I supervised and supported a team of six social workers. I provided administrative and clinical / case work supervision. I developed and maintained collaborative working relationships in the community including monthly liaison meetings with the local aboriginal agency, development of a protocol with the Tri-Cities school district and ongoing collaboration with the local First Nation.

As an acting team leader I was covering on my own team. I supervised my colleagues while our regular supervisor was on a temporary assignment. I provided administrative and clinical / case work supervision. I also helped prepare the team for the initial launch of the ICM computer system.
