Medical Writer In 2021 I gained an MPhil in Bioengineering from the University of Cambridge, working on 3D microvessel models in microfluidic devices.In 2017 I graduated from the University of Exeter with a first class honours degree in Materials Engineering where my final year dissertation was “In-situ Raman Micro-Spectroscopy of Nanocomposite Materials and Potential Diagnostic Applications for Malaria Detection”. I worked with microfluidic structures on silicon-on-insulator and silicon nitride chips, changing the dimensions of the channels in order to provide the maximum signal during Raman spectroscopy. This was with the end goal of creating a lab-on-chip rapid diagnostic test which could help diagnose malaria.
