My job includes the following tasks:-Independently designing and executing experiments.-Collaborating with diverse teams across JBEI divisions (including microbiologists, chemists, biochemists, engineers, and plant biologists) and outside of JBEI (at the Great Lakes Bioenergy Research Center).-Contributing to multiple projects simultaneously (droplet microfluidics, lignolytic enzyme characterization, and collaborations with other JBEI divisions).-Applying molecular probes and nanostructure-initiator mass spectrometry (NIMS) to characterize the enzymatic breakdown of lignocellulosic compounds.-Developing strong communication skills by giving oral presentations and posters at conferences -Tailoring presentations to broad audiences (non-biologists and non-scientists). Several presentations have included communication of other team members' work. Show less
