I have strong leadership skills coupled with a deep understanding of operational excellence. My experience lies in creating strategies & guidelines for how a company should utilize social media platforms to better drive brand awareness, engagement, and revenue growth. My background is rooted in adult learning theory, which I hold dear above all else. It's my personal philosophy that you need to know your audience before you try to engage, sell, or teach. I take a listen-first approach (seek first to understand, then to be understood), but don't shy away from taking risks or embracing wild and creative ideation, especially if it's rooted in data. Throughout my career, I have headlined as a keynote speaker for different events like SXSW, Social Media Day, and various other learning and development conferences. I have also had the privilege of working in both the private and public sectors. I am certified in Adult Learning Theory, and proficient in Social Media, Sales, Technology, Government, and leadership development. My strengths lie within creative "outside-the-box" thinking and minimalist design. I graduated from the University of Arkansas and was a collegiate scholarship athlete in Track & Field. Outside of work, I run in many geek pop-culture circles. I have made a hobby out of reading and collecting comics, and supporting the sci-fi community in TV, movies, and literature. I have been on an episode of AMC's Comic Book Men, and lean into creating my own cosplay for conventions. When not traveling, you can find me at our local Dungeons and Dragons League, or painting watercolors to balance out the hustle and bustle. To sum it up, I'm quirky.
