Straight out of secondary education, many🌙 ago, I went straight into a 1 yr City & Guilds catering course. Worked, cooked in various catering establishments, French, Greek while training etc. Spent about 10 yrs in the catering field, incld working as an assistant cook, alongside head-cook, Vicky ❤️cooking for British-Telecom engineers, central B’ham. I also worked in various hotels, ie: Edgbaston Palace Hotel, The Albany Hotel, Forte Posthouse etc. I enjoyed the catering/serving field, loved helping and meeting new people. Could say, ‘customer services,’ was my line of work. But later I decided to get some further qualifications and expand my field. Therefore, after studying diplomas at City college, I started a job in the city of B’ham, for a London-based Property Investment Company as a Property P. A. Front of House receptionist. Admin work etc, part-time job-share position, which I enjoyed for 14 1/2 years! But due to deteriorating health conditions and long busy, commuting etc, I longed for an home-based job position to accommodate and adapt to my ever changing health needs and time. Being told we were going to be made redundant within 6 mnths to 1 year, as ours and the surrounding buildings were going to be made into luxury apartments, I jumped at and welcomed the change. Only it took another 2 1/2 yrs until it actually happened, by that time I felt I was literally crawling on my knees.. was a little sad to leave many friendships made over the years, but happy to be able to find work on my terms, from home.About 8 yrs before, I was introduced to ‘Utility Warehouse’ a multi-service company, by my bro in-law, now my Upline! I never looked into it at the time, “oh I haven’t got time, can’t take anything more on with work etc. I’ll look into it when I’ve finished working here!”Even though we became customers, a few years afterwards I still didn’t look into the business side of things. But when I was made redundant, after trying a few online income streams with my sister, i decided to look into UW.“OML! Why didn’t I look into this beforehand, while I was working!?” I often kick myself for not doing so! 🤷🏽‍♀️But I’m here now, I’m in Partnership with a PLC Telecom Plus FTSE 250 Company and am enjoying my time helping people to save time, money and earn that extra income, especially in this difficult cost of living times. I love that taking my time, running my own business has helped me to deal with my changing circumstances, gives me back my time, flexibility, work when I want to on my own terms, own time, if and when health permitting, I can.
