One of the things I love most about the work I facilitate, is the philosophy that there is nothing to fix, that we have everything we need (already) inside of us to create positive change. This philosophy has been life changing for me, and the groups and individuals I work with across the lifespan. Since becoming a Licensed TIMBo (Trauma-Responsive Innovations for mind and body) Facilitator in 2014, I have created trauma sensitive spaces in homeless shelters, a summer camp, yoga studios and wellness centers. This evidenced-based method gives people in crisis quick tools to manage acute stress, and with more time, creates opportunities for healing. When I’m not working, you can find me dancing in my kitchen while whipping up something new or indulging in an old favorite, getting together with dear friends or snuggling on the couch with my husband, my three teenagers (when they let me), and our sweet pup.
