The Planter Companies is a collection of personalization businesses in Chicago. The companies include a screen printing and embroidery factory in Forest Park, a retail shop in Oak Park, and an awards manufacturing facility in Austin. My role entails sales, PR and marketing for all entities.

Co-founded organization and built support groups for women runners in Chicago’s western suburbs. • Promote awareness of Best Foot Forward through social media, marketing and promotions in local and state races and running events. • Create support networks and partnerships with local merchants. • Build membership base (currently 200 members strong). • Coordinate and execute fundraising to support non-profit status and affiliation with Road Runners Club of America.

Company is a public relations firm specializing in strategic communications advice for clients in real estate, finance, and global energy. Responsibilities included writing press releases and creating and executing customized client strategies. • Developed press releases and performed copywriting duties for clients, including Abacus Property, The American Club, and Carbon Planet. • Built target press contact database using Medianet. • Championed integrated strategies to develop brand/product evolution and garner media endorsements.

2002-2005Handled public relations and communication with literary agents and publicity contacts for novelist Judith Krantz and her husband, film producer Steve Krantz. Also managed life and estate leading a team of staff for the estate, including chef, housekeeping, grounds keepers, fitness instructors, personal shoppers, and transportation staff.

2001-2002Company is a boutique public relations firm specializing in fashion and beauty brands and luxury goods. Position focused on event planning, media strategies, editorial coverage, and fashion presentations. Primary Accounts: Burberry and Eres. • Compiled monthly media placement reports and monitored media clippings. • Developed and pitched stories and ideas to key fashion media outlets, including Vogue, Harper’s, Vanity Fair, and 
Marie Claire. • Planned and oversaw account-sponsored events, and coordinated samples for distribution to media outlets.

E-Haus is a full-service boutique agency specializing in interactive campaigns, including websites, social media, print, packaging, and marketing materials. Established a team environment and managed client and internal expectations. • Managed production of company-created websites, interactive CD titles, graphical user interfaces, and new media projects from inception to delivery to client. • Scheduled and managed production processes, tracked the progression of projects against budgets, and oversaw creative and technical teams. Also assisted clients in focusing on objectives to define project specifications.
