About Jenny Van Riper, Cmp
My interest in the hospitality industry first sparked while helping my Mom prepare beautifully arranged crudité trays for dinner parties. My plan was to be an architect. I fell in love with the hospitality industry while studying organizational theory for a college internship. Say what? The internship was with the events department of a major corporation that was in the midst of a major acquisition. There I observed first-hand the necessity of exceptional customer service and value of cultivating relationships and partnerships. I am a life-long learner who feels strongly that if you’re not outside of your comfort zone, you won’t learning anything. I am uncomfortable every day. I am most proud of my children and love seeing the enchantment and curiosity of the world again through their eyes. It reminds me daily to be grateful for each moment. At the end of my journey if they are as proud of me as I was of my Mom, then my time on this earth was a life well lived. Oh, and I also really love iced tea.
