The workshops focus on Dance skills, but they also include other performance techniques and culminate in 1 or 2 public performances per Cruise. Participants take part in cultural dance, in which we explore the history of the style, develop performance skills through games and activities and learn choreography. The workshops I have delivered have been: Chinese Ribbon Dancing, Carnival Dance, Flamenco, Bollywood, Aboriginal Dance, African Dance ad Street Dance. On the second week of a cruise I deliver fantasy themed workshops, bringing to life imaginary worlds and allowing the participants to explore through their own creativity. Themes included: Pirates, Chocolate Factory, Wonderland, Fairytales, Outerspace and Mission Impossible. On board I also created and deliver Baby Sensory sessions for children under 2 years old. These sessions are attended by babies and their parents to relax, play and bond during their time on board. These workshops are full of colour, songs and sensory experiences and themes include: Rumble Through the Jungle, Under the Sea, Wonderland, Outer Space, Wonderful Weather, and On the Farm. Additional duties include:- Enhancing the holiday experiences of passengers on board.- Delivering an excellent standard of customer service.- Developing Creative Content for the workshops. - Engaging with families and customers. - Assisting the Entertainment Team.This is a seasonal role during which I have currently spent 21 weeks at sea.

In this role as Actor Teacher, in a small cast of only 4, we performed in multiple roles engaging young people. Bringing to life the historical tale of the Gun Powder Plot we allowed pupils to imagine life at the time and have a deeper understanding of their topic. During the performance pupils could delve deeper through discussions and engaging activities allowing them autonomy over the performance. We were also privileged enough to perform for company patron Bill Nighy.
