The Enterprise Engineering organization drives key corporate initiatives to scale Roku enterprise infrastructure and automate critical workflows across People/Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, and Supply Chain. We are disrupting traditional methods by automating business workflows and applying engineering design to scale efficiencies in Roku internal processes.I build the engineering organization from the ground up to a global software engineering team. I am responsible for delivering bespoke web applications, cloud services, and data platform that simplify an inherently complex and rapidly-growing landscape, and empower our employees to make larger impact in their respective roles and areas.

Apple Online Store Engineering builds the Apple Inc's global e-commerce platform serving 37 countries with thousands of dynamic storefronts, and a rich feature set. The Online Store is driven by dynamic data. I am responsible for• setting up the direction and vision to continuously improve the performance, scalability, reliability, and usability of the Publishing Systems that include Content Management Systems, Digital Asset Management Systems, Product Information Systems, and Feeds System;• developing multi-year roadmap with our business partners;• managing multidiscipline global teams located in US and India to deliver critical business features as well as infrastructure initiatives;• leading organizational transformation through people, process, and technology.

• Led the Front End, Merchandising and Community Engineering teams. Grow engineering team from 34 to over 130 team members distributed around the world. Cross-functional teams included Program Managers, Engineering Managers, Architects, UI Engineers, and Java Engineers.• Partnered with business on product strategy, roadmap, and product requirement definition. • Delivered many high-profile projects with complex integration with internal and external systems such as Buy Online Pickup in Store, Online Concierge, Store Redesign, and Trending. • Defined and executed several strategic infrastructure initiatives to scale the AOS Platform. • Transformed organization to Agile Process that tremendously increased collaboration between engineering and business teams.• Received multiple “Best Team Achievement Awards” and “Partner Recognition Award” from the WW Apple Online Store Organization.

• Led Geo Expansion, Payment, and Online Self Service Engineering teams through several Geo Expansion that expand Apple’s Online Store presence to 35 countries with local language, local currency, various payment options, and country specific features. Worked closely with internal and external partners on complex integration such as payment vendors and SAP systems.• Identified the unique network situation in China and developed a new client caching implementation to ensure great customer experience.

• Managed global engineering teams in San Jose, Austin, and India. Cross-functional teams included Architects, Java Engineers, Program Managers, and QA Engineers. • Partnered with cross-functional organizations; developed strategic business and technology roadmap that meet senior management vision and strategy.• Partnered with internal and external technical leaders in developing an interoperable architecture for eBay, PayPal, and Skype that provides shared identity and core services. • Evangelized the new architecture and core services to other engineering organizations.• Provided technical leadership and guidance to team members. • Led the team on the redesign of Marketplace Analytical Exchange Portal. Responsible for defining the product strategy, brand, roadmap, and design options. • Developed analytical tools (OLAP cube) for business users to analyze multidimensional data.• Led the Data Quality Reconciliation & Control site reporting initiative. Defined short-term strategy and long-term strategy for improving Data Warehouse quality. Developed quality tracking and monitoring system, and scorecard to track progress on DW data quality trend.• Responsible for the creation of eBay Marketplace site performance monthly presentations for the senior executives and provided key metrics for the Quarterly Earning Calls.

• Managed the software development team to develop and deliver core features such as View Item, My eBay, Checkout, Sell Your Item (SYI), Attributes, and PayPal Integration on schedule with high quality. Partnered with the business units on creating innovative products and features. • Created eBay Turbo Lister listing tool - First windows application for eBay. Hired highly competent client application developers and led them to design and develop this product from scratch to release in a short time with high quality.• Provided technical leadership for architecture and infrastructure improvements. Created migration roadmap for the team and led them through the migration from C/C++, ISAPI to Java, J2EE and IBM WebSphere application server technologies.

• Designed and developed new features such as Single Sign On, and My eBay Watch List from concept to launch. • Partnered with Business Development team to select our 3rd party vendor to provide wireless eBay application on mobile devices.

• Designed and developed software application for data storage. • Developed web-based data visualization tool for data analysis and issue tracking.

• Developed software applications for Implantable Medical Devices.• Created Usability Experience Design Lab, conducted user research, usability study, andprovided UI design for the next generation physician programmer.• Honored as a Medtronic Visiting Scientist to work with electrophysiologist,cardiologists, and clinician at the Minneapolis Heart Institute for three months to define and design next generation customer focused software application.
