The 1st Engineer Junior plans, schedules and supervises all work carried out in the Engine Room by the Ratings forming part of the Engine Room Staff. The planned Maintenance System is utilized for the planning and update of work, stores and keeping track of unexpected maintenance. Responsibilities and duties also include:-Cleanliness in the Engine Room-Safe working practices in Engine Room-Carrying out Engine Room related work as assigned by the First Engineer-Carrying out maintenance in accordance to the Planned Maintenance System.

Multiple positions as Scrubber Engineer (2nd Engineer) and Daytime Second Engineer due to lay-up condition. The Scrubber Engineer is responsible for the Exhaust Gas Cleaning System, with tasks including:• Monitoring the system to: - ensure proper function of the system - reduce risk of breakdowns and prevent non-compliance• Maintenance work according to planned maintenance system• Overlooking and reporting costs and savings of the system• Making appropriate entries in the Exhaust Gas Cleaning System Record Book• Daytime 2nd Engineer, where my responsibilities consisted of both repair work and routine maintenance on the machinery according to planned maintenance system, including for example: - Maintenance and monitoring of Waste Water Treatment System - Overlooking and planning of bunkering operations and documentation of such - Assisting the watchkeeping teams with maintenance/repairs if needed - Daily visual, audible and tactile inspection of the entire engine room and its components.

I was included in two different watchkeeping teams. •Water Treatment and production, with responsibilities including:-Production and treatment of water (potable and technical)-Monitoring and treatment of Steam system-Monitoring and treatment of Cooling Water systems-Monitoring and maintenance of Compressed Air System-Routine maintenance on associated equipment • Operations and systems associated with oils, with responsibilities including:-Making necessary entries in the Oil Record Book-Treatment, handling and disposal of oily bilge water-Routine maintenance on associated equipment-Sampling and analyzing oils• Daytime 2nd Engineer, where my responsibilities consisted of both repair work and routine maintenance on the machinery according to planned maintenance system, including for example: - Maintenance and monitoring of Waste Water Treatment System - Overlooking and planning of bunkering operations and documentation of such - Assisting the watchkeeping teams with maintenance/repairs if needed - Daily visual, audible and tactile inspection of the entire engine room and its components.

Full time employed Motorman. I work mainly in watchkeeping duties, which also include repair and maintenance work of the systems and machinery found on board. Working temporarily with similar tasks from 2017-2019 between semesters (May-August). During these periods i also worked as a Sanitary- and Interior repairman from time to time.

Participated in many different tasks on board, including repair and maintenance work. I was also familiarized with watchkeeping duties.
