Jens Degett is Editor in Chief of ScienceStories.dk, a platform for science media communication.He has been working with science journalism and communication since 1990. In 1993 he started the radio program Studie 2000 together with Joachim Jerrik. He was the anchor of the radio program Harddisken and made feature programs for Orienteering, Radioavisen, TV -Avisen, etc.Jens Degett left the DR (Danish Broadcasting Corporation) in 2000 and became Head of Communications for the European Science Foundation in Strasbourg. In 2005, he became director of an EU project on health and food research in developing countries (EAGLES) while based in Madrid, Spain.Since 2012, Jens Degett has been a freelance science journalist in Denmark, where he writes for Nature, The EuroScientist, Magisterbladet and arranges international conferences on research and science journalism. He was Chairman of Danish Science Journalist Association 2012-2020. Currently he is Vice-President of EUSJA (European Union of Science Journalists Associations since 2016.

I learned a lot. This was a great experience! However I could not resist when the Danish Broadcast offered that I could have my own weekly science programme. -

One of the longest representations I had was as expert member of EU Committee Biomed 1 (1992-1995). I also represented The Danish Research Councils at the EPO meetings on patenting.
