Project employmentThe job consisted of a registration of all park trees owned and managed by Aarhus Municipality and also processing data in GIS and Excel. The gathered information will be used for planning in general and screening of risk trees. The trees have been registered by botanical name, age determination, injuries and diseases and image documentation. Duration: 2 months

I was working in Team Green Areas. Here I joined a team of many professions, all of which aim is managing the areas of the city, forests and nature . My professional outcome lies primarily in the construction and maintenance of urban green areas. Especially my tasks in the field of climate change adaptation where the selection of plants is a priority. There was also time for unforeseen and other exciting tasks, such as a small afforestation project for urban renewal with a fellow student. We had some additional communication tasks in the form of communication signs for the afforestation. Another project, where the communication is in focus, where i would be advising citizens about establishing green areas on unused land owned by the commune, is the project Smag på Aarhus.
