Mechanical Engineer for Tampa Electric Company, working in Outage and Project Management. Started my career with Tampa Electric as a Co-Op as I finished graduate school. In this role I was a part of a large modernization project to convert an old coal fired steam turbine into a combined cycle 2 on 1 natural gas steam turbine. This utilized 2 HRSG units as well as all the associated systems to maintain operation. This role was primarily overseeing mechanical construction as part of the modernization, from motor/pump installation to high energy piping and hangers and everything in between. Once I graduated with my MSME degree, I got transitioned into a full time position with Outage and Project Management as their mechanical engineer servicing 3 power plants and their various large capital projects. Of those projects have been deep well Flue Gas Desulfurization water injection, air compressor installation, reverse osmosis systems, demineralization upgrades, as well as boiler water wall replacements, high energy piping hangers, just to name a few.
