During my tenure as a Visiting Student Researcher at the Centre for Accident Research and Road Safety - Queensland (CARRS-Q), Queensland University of Technology (QUT), I engaged in a diverse range of Data Science, Machine Learning, and UX/HCI Research activities.In the realm of Data Science and Machine Learning, I collaborated closely with interdisciplinary teams to address challenges in automated driving. Leveraging Python libraries such as Numpy, Pandas, and Matplotlib, I constructed algorithms for data management, analysis, and visualization. Additionally, I applied machine learning tools and statistical techniques using SciKit-Learn to develop and evaluate innovative solutions.My expertise in UX/HCI Research was equally extensive. - Organized 10 lectures and workshops with industry experts, such as renowned UX expert Javier Andrés Bargas-Avila, UX Director at Google, providing practical industry insights and best practices to complement academic knowledge for 300+ students.- Led a team of 1 assistant and 9 volunteers to host the first career event for our study program in close cooperation with the German UPA (Professional Association for UX and Usability Professionals), achieving a satisfaction rating of 89%. - Conducted a driving simulator study for my bachelor thesis, "Danger! Toward or Away? - Stimulus-Response Compatibility in Road Traffic," focusing on Human Factors and Driver Assistance.- Utilized SILAB software and a high-fidelity dynamic driving simulator on a motion platform to perform quantitative research.- Prepared and executed experiments, including building driving scenarios, supervising participants, performing statistical analysis, and reporting results.- Collaborated within an interdisciplinary team specializing in real vehicle studies for driver assistance systems and human-machine interface (HMI) design.

As a research assistant, I supported Prof. Dr. Jörn Hurtienne in the governmental research project "ForChange" conducted by the Bavarian Research Association. The project aimed to investigate work-related stress and develop effective coping strategies.- My responsibilities included performing qualitative data analyses using ATLAS.ti software and presenting the results to the project team.- Additionally, I played a key role in developing and designing materials for client workshops, contributing to the project's overall success in addressing work-related stress issues.

- Assisted Prof. Paul Pauli in the governmental project SKRIBT+ focused on tunnel safety.- Operated a 3D-multisensory lab and ensured safety during experiments with human subjects.About the Research Project:How do people behave in case of accidents or fires in tunnels? What can be done to ensure greater safety in such dangerous situations? Psychologists from the University of Würzburg are investigating these questions in their new 3D multi-sensory laboratory within a virtual environment.This project was part of the "Research for Civil Security - Protection of Critical Bridges and Tunnels" program.
