As the Head of Developer Relations at Contentful, I lead a global team of Developer Advocates and Community professionals. Our focus is in three areas, attraction, engagement, and advocacy in the Developer community. With an almost completely new team, one of my key accomplishments was to build a strong, cohesive, and trusting team that works together like a well-oiled machine. We created a working agreement together to create a set of working conditions and boundaries for this new team. Then I worked to build a clear understanding of each individual's strengths and interests, which allows everyone to excel and bring their full self to work each day, and ensure focus on the right priorities and goals.I created the DevRel operating model and strategy, and built out OKRs and goals for the team in-line with overall Marketing and company goals. Within the first half of 2023, we had implemented this new strategy and exceeded key results, which were celebrated by the organization.
