Jen Sciuto Email and Phone Number
I have a passion for helping others and I try to bring warmth and compassion into everything that I do. My education background is in Physics and Astronomy but after being unable to find work in my field and realizing that I wanted to make a direct impact on others' lives, I decided to switch gears. I am a returned Peace Corps Volunteer and served for 10 months as an English, Math, and Computer teacher in Ghana, West Africa. I served right up until the pandemic hit when all 7,000+ Peace Corps Volunteers and Trainees were evacuated from their countries. I am currently employed at an ethically driven, non-profit company called Public Responsibility in Medicine & Research (PRIM&R) where I assist those who are in the human and animal research fields that are in the process of earning their certification. My dream job is to work with immigrants and refugees but I am enjoying the journey to get to that point.Outside of work I love to travel and learn about new cultures; I still try to keep what I learned from Ghana fresh in my memory by practicing Twi and cooking my favorite Ghanaian foods. I like exploring and hiking. I am a tap dancer, burlesque dancer, fire spinner, and hula hooper. I teach belly dance and enjoy choreographing complex dances in local shows! I am a professional cat sitter and specialize in cat behavior.
