Embarking on a veterinary journey over two decades ago, I initially shadowed an equine vet during summers, stemming from my years of professionally showing and training horses they were truly my passion. The thrill of emergency vet work captivated me so I starting my small animal journey there. It pushed me to navigate the "sink or swim" teaching approach. During this time I seized the opportunity to buy a franchise while completing my Bachelor's degree at 21. Weathering the 2007-2008 economic challenges, I maneuvered the business, exploring diverse revenue streams. Facing a crossroads in 2012, I ventured south, excelling in practice management by transforming an underperforming practice, boosting revenue by 53% in under three years. Delving into acquisitions, I thrived on guiding new practices into the fold, fueled by a passion for teaching. Transitioning to large hospitals reignited my love for the emergency/specialty side, where my recruiting prowess was able to flourish also. I then embarked into building teams and hospitals from the ground up, discovering a newfound excitement in the building process.Venturing into startups, I honed my creative edge, focusing on recruiting and team development. Joining a mid-size organization, I recently oversee recruitment efforts for Northeast hospitals, combining years of experience with an unwavering passion for people and evolving hiring challenges in the veterinary industry!
