I am a recent graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with degrees in Mathematics and Biology, a minor in French, and an Evidence & Inquiry Certificate for which I completed a thesis on Ethical Health AI. I was part of a bioinformatics research lab for two and a half years wherein I helped to visualize & analyze data to characterize 70 standard research cell lines. I built an automated 15 step genomics pipeline for deployment on supercomputing cluster and evaluated 6 tools for effective use on noisy genomic data without strong benchmarking data. In this time, I learned about next generation sequencing, python, R, bash scripting, pipeline development, and manuscript writing. At Starbucks, I learned effective management and communication skills as a shift supervisor. I left both positions to focus on my senior honors thesis entitled "It Takes a Village: Participation, Data, and Ethics in Health AI".
