I have experience in the handling of venomous and non-venomous snakes and in the relocation and removal of unwanted, abandoned and nuisance snakes and other reptiles. Because Utah law makes it illegal to kill indigenous herpetofauna, I have spent many years educating the public about the intrinsic benefits of snakes in the environment, how to deal with wild snakes in domestic settings, species recognition and safety, and phobia avoidance and recovery.I have presented educational snake demonstrations at public and private schools, community events and civic organizations, church and scout functions and other similar events for more than 30 years, and was a Reptile Study Merit Badge Counselor for the Boy Scouts of America (Great Salt Lake Council) for more than 20 years.In 2014 I was approved by the Utah State Division of Wildlife Resources to relocate urban rattlesnakes along the Wasatch Front as Wasatch Snake Removal. In 2015 I (along with with any designated subpermittees) was approved by the state wildlife board to relocate all native snakes statewide.Reptile consultant for local media outlets and snake wrangler for television and movie productions. I was hired by ABC Television as the snake wrangler on the set of Blood and Oil, Season One; the theatrical teaser for Sonic the Hedgehog—the Blue Blur; a photo shoot for Boot Barn with country music singer Kelsea Ballerini, and more. In 2018, I snake wrangled on the set of The Happy Worker, a motion picture currently in post-production, and most recently on the set of Kevin Costner's Yellowstone series for the Paramount network.

Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal (CAMA) Division Tax Exempt SpecialistMonitors privilege tax eligibility of hangar tenants at SLC International and South Valley Regional Airports. Designates Privilege Tax, Airport Exempt, and Special Exempt parcel status. County liaison with Salt Lake City Department of Airports. Writes, transcribes, distributes, files, and tracks interoffice letters including Salt Lake County Council letters, County Board of Equalization and Tax Administration requests, interoffice communications, and notifications of assessment/abatement/appeal letters for municipal jurisdictions and private entities. Audits private hangar tenants as needed. Work with counties and taxing entities nationwide to determine taxpayer eligibility for receiving the Primary Residential Exemption and the reinstatement, removal or refund of primary residential exemptions on single-family residences, duplexes, condos, cabins, etc. Handles all P.R.E. requests for Condominium Dept. Interacts extensively with taxpayers and multiple taxing jurisdictions. Represents the Assessor’s Office in Tax Committee hearings as required. Uses LexisNexis as required. Maintain an archive of digital photos of real property parcels in Salt Lake County for use in appeals and for establishing visual property histories. Work with appraisers to process appendix requests to recover escaped taxes. Writes Letters of Intent to Assess and Appendix Roll notifications. Maintains Appendix Roll and notifies residential and commercial taxpayers of escaped assessments. Coordinates with Treasurer’s Office and Information Services to open and close the Appendix Roll annually. Edits, submits, revises, updates, and posts periodic changes in multiple data systems. Other duties as assigned.
