I started my career in research where I learned to combine creative thinking and statistics to forge new avenues in my field. Through the rigor of experimental design and scientific writing I came to appreciate the value of critical thinking and its value in the pursuit of repeatable and reliable results. I patented and pitched my work to investors and brought my ideas from theory to working prototypes in front of tech giants.As a Program Manager at Microsoft, I honed my skills in prioritization, lean processes and communication with clarity and conviction. I loved the challenge of translating customer needs and business priorities to backlog and getting my teams’ approvals. To achieve this, I always relied on my analytical skills to ask and answer questions with data, customer feedback or surveys and current published research.In my current role as a Senior Data Scientist, I help my entire organization ask and answer questions that drive the most impact, through controlled experimentation, hypothesis testing, cross sectional studies, visual storytelling, and anything else needed to find and solve problems. I create and update products with state-of-the-art Machine Learning technology using state-of-the-art infrastructure and I lead the effort to project usage changes during the early stages of the pandemic to ensure the resilience of the Microsoft Teams calling service.
