Modeled a novel globe-encompassing and data-driven prioritization approach leveraging various geo and population data, resulting in annual collection of 2M local business listings by walking agents in emerging markets. Several other Google Geo products adopted this sophisticated model based on metropolitan clusters instead of a simple country prioritization.In parallel, led a team of program managers in EMEA, jumpstarted and managed data collection operations in Russia, Poland, Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa resulting in 1.2M collected business listings. Met all quality targets, achieved highest productivity globally, removed compliance risks from vendor contracts.

Led the international operations of BebaPay, a payment solution developed for emerging markets. Managed a distributed team of operations program managers in Kenya, the Philippines, India and Switzerland.Devised operations strategy covering field, vendor and partner operations, customer support, merchant and user acquisition, procurement and risk management.Scaled operations from pilot to full launch in 10 months, increasing users x12 and merchants x20. Drove cost efficiency by instituting cost metrics, acting on vendor rates, channel substitution, and introducing supplier auctions that resulted in savings of $200k over an order of $1.2M. Defined a global and comprehensive risk model based on assessment of transaction, operational, business, and regulatory risks.

Drove the prioritization and commercialization of various products offering monetization, yield management and ad serving solutions for Google's web publishing partners (eg AdSense, AdExchange, Doubleclick for Publishers, AdMob). Aligned team with business priorities, influenced directly at product manager level and introduced a new product prioritization and commercialization model.Managed a separate team of support and process specialists supporting new AdSense partners. Drove automation of AdSense application reviews from 74% up to 92%, reduced average manual TAT from 45h down to 10h, and backlog from 80k down to 6k within 6 months.Stepped up to lead a struggling global funnel optimization project, setting concise and comprehensive objectives and streamlining project communication and reporting. Initiated a global project to focus on publisher happiness that resulted in adoption of happiness philosophy, metrics and integration into OKRs of all functions and regions. Improved transactional customer happiness from 40% to 70% within a year.
