A "truth" has been established that electric cars are a good environmental and climate measure. Does this "truth" match reality? How did electric cars end up becoming one of Norway's most important climate measures? Why did Norwegian electric car policy have such an impact that the whole world looks to our "little country"?In the book, the authors explain how the myth of the electric car being "zero emissions" could arise. Norwegian electric car policy is not knowledge-based. It was introduced following a celebrity stunt, combined with a desire to establish a car industry in Norway. The benefits of electric cars were initially marginal, but today the subsidies amount to over 40 billion kroner a year.
