As part of the Campus Services leadership team, I provide leadership for the Student Union and University Event Services teams. I engage in strategic planning and collaborative efforts to provide event and student services throughout campus and to the greater Boise community and beyond. I also support curriculum design and facilitation of student employee training and development in the Student Union, in addition to supporting full-time employee training and development for the Student Union. My favorite part of my job is helping others succeed in theirs.

The University Event Services Manager coordinates all staff responsible for event services coordination in the Student Union, Stueckle Sky Center, Special Events Center, outdoor spaces, and other campus event facilities and spaces not specifically designated for classroom, athletic, or large-scale performance use. The University Event Services Manager oversees daily operation and communication with key event partners internal to the Student Union including Event Operations, Audio Visual Production Services, and those external to the Student Union including Transportation and Parking Services, Campus Security, as well as University Dining and Catering Services. The University Event Services Manager leads team members in the training and efficient utilization of reservation and diagramming software in order to plan for and document room and facility set-up, audiovisual equipment and personnel, event services equipment, catering and conference dining needs, and parking. The University Event Services Manager personally coordinates and manages select VIP events and leads development of relationships and messaging with VIP clients. The position interprets and/or explains policies, procedures and laws pertaining to the Student Union, event services, and facility use and reservation policies on the Boise State campus. The position maximizes facility utilization by evaluating reservations to resolve conflicts and space needs. The position ensures maximum operational profits by timely preparation of invoices and billing process. The position provides leadership of others through participation in hiring, scheduling, training, evaluation and supervision of full-time and student staff.

I work with a variety of clients to understand their event needs and how the Conference Services team can best accommodate their needs either at the Stueckle Sky Center or Student Union building.
