About Jeppe Eimose Waagstein

I am heading a department of 20+ people with responsibility of strategy and business development in the energy and utility company BEOF on the island Bornholm. My professional focus is innovating and developing the areas of energy and utility technology with respect to environmental, societal and governmental aspects. Decarbonizing our energy systems, to keep within our planetary limits, takes 1/3 hardware, 1/3 people and society and 1/3 IT. To succeed with this grand transition, steering ideas and goals through projects is a pivotal art and craft.My educational background is as trained computer scientist in the intersection of philosophy and humanities. I have previously worked with IT development and management, research and teaching. In parallel with my university studies, I worked with university and educational politics, and as board member with policy, strategy development, organisation transition, stakeholder management.
