Surt, Libya

With the HALO Trust, I was the operational lead on starting the first mechanical demining and EOD programme in Libya. Based in the city of Sirte, I trained the first recruits, planned the search for explosives, and managed the teams once we went live. One collapsed building at a time we started clearing Sirte of explosive remnants of war.In addition, I liaised with the Libyan government representatives and local authorities in order to ensure humanitarian access to the city.

Zimbabwe

- Reporting to donors (DfID, PMWRA, Irish Aid, Japan MoFA, etc.)- Daily management of 26 mineclearance teams (more than 300 staff)- Focal point for monitoring and evaluation, including management of all clearance data- Government liaison and capacity building in Zimbabwe and Mozambique

Cambodia, Somaliland, Abkhazia

- Completed on-the-job training in Cambodia, Somaliland and Abkhazia on technical and management aspects of Humanitarian Mine Action- Proficient in the skills needed to manage large-scale humanitarian efforts to identify and clear areas contaminated by explosive remnants of war- Obtained Explosive Ordnance Disposal certificate to IMAS EOD 3 level.

Greece

Dråpen i Havet is a small Norwegian NGO working in several refugee camps across Greece, as well as in urban Athens. Services included running informal education, safe spaces, social activities, and distributions of food and NFIs.PROJECT COORDINATOR GREECE (July 2017 - November 2017)As project coordinator I was tasked with supporting the DiH's teams across Greece, as well as expanding the organisation's activities in the country. This entailed assessing needs in both formal and informal refugee settlements, as well as planning and implementing services. Furthermore I represented DiH in relevant sector- and coordination meetings in Northern Greece.

- Overall coordination of DiH activities in the Nea Kavala refugee camp in northern Greece- Managing a team of 3 coordinators and twenty volunteers (Including both international volunteers and residents from the camp)- Representing DiH in camp coordination meetings- Implementing, monitoring and evaluating distributions and camp activities

As an assistant attaché (trainee position) in the political team at the Danish UN-representation I primarily worked with the conflicts and humanitarian situations in the MENA-region and Asia. Following the agenda of the Security Council in these topics, I was given a high degree of responsibility in, among other tasks, gathering information, drafting reports to the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and building diplomatic networks.Most extensively, I covered the situation in Syria. In particular in relation to humanitarian access, the fight against extremist groups, as well as the destruction of the Syrian Government's chemical weapons.
