With the HALO Trust, I was the operational lead on starting the first mechanical demining and EOD programme in Libya. Based in the city of Sirte, I trained the first recruits, planned the search for explosives, and managed the teams once we went live. One collapsed building at a time we started clearing Sirte of explosive remnants of war.In addition, I liaised with the Libyan government representatives and local authorities in order to ensure humanitarian access to the city.
