Oversee and manage a crew of 12+ personnel in there day to day task of Fabricating Modular Clean-Room Facilities. Encourage a safety culture based work environment. Assist our teams project engineers and managers with structural and fabrication material take offs and weld detail sheets. Review drawings associated with project to minimize downtime and rework. Assist shop personnel with reading and comprehending blue prints and weld details. Inspect and verify that the structures are completed per standards and match drawings. Ensure Red Lines and change orders are completed. Manage structural inventory. Work diligently to complete projects ahead of schedule, under budget, with 0 safety infractions/violations. Review applications and interview potential Fabrication Technicians and staff accordingly. Participate and lead business growth and efficiency planning meetings.

Responsibilities: Walk down all equipment associated within the boiler structure and identify pre-mature failures and monitor operating conditions. Initiate new ideas to provide a safer more efficient way of performing tasks.Perform RCA’s on failed equipment to prevent future failures, establish repair plans and SJP’s (standard job plans), and provide an 8 step work plan that includes: Scope of work, Safety precautions and Limitations, Tools/Materials, References, Detailed Work Instructions, Testing if applicable, Acceptance Criteria, and Closure. Order all necessary replacement parts needed to perform the repairs. Obtain quotes/estimates from 3rd party vendors to perform needed repairsManage and oversee contractors performing repairsEquipment that I am responsible for consist of but not limited to; Boiler Valves consisting of a variety of types and sizes ranging from ½” to 30”, gravimetric feeders (lignite and limestone), Blowers, motors, actuators, air preheaters, rotors, gearboxes, control valves, boiler pressure parts.

Fabricated welding simulators, taught welding schools, put together and implemented boiler inspection plans, performed NDE testing on boiler pressure parts, planned and estimated inspection and repair jobs, order material and tools for planned jobs, managed and supervised inspection and repair personnel, carried out BLAP inspections on major boiler components

Performed high pressure welds on boiler components using the GTAW and SMAW processes, mentored other welders on sight. Provided a multi task service for boiler reliability and quick turn arounds for forced outages.
