I also infuse notes about ecological restoration, habitat preservation, and pollinators. On some of my articles, I submit photography I've taken of the plants I'm writing about.

Mean Green Garden is an educational resource with content on plants, how they grow, and how we can use them. I removed invasive species, promoted PNW native species and their survival, and maintained the garden for park patrons. I identified all the plants in the garden and worked to prioritize endangered native species, ensuring the garden stayed in tip-top shape. I also coordinated my work with a team and ensured our projects remained seamless between transitions.

I was privileged to be able to work on many initiatives at Arctic7 and collaborate with multiple teams. I managed the company social media accounts, and helped with these projects: - Website Copy - Deck Copy - Social Media Strategy - Brand MaterialsOne major success here was the creation of the Who We Are video interview series. Working with a video editing team alongside the Communications Director, I launched the initiative to record an interview series of Arctic7 executives and studio heads. This role was a professional and educational role. It required identifying and knowing thousands of plants and their scientific names. A by product of this was that I quickly learned these plants and how they perform in the landscape. Using this knowledge, I primarily worked in this role with the following focuses:- Plant Sales- Instagram Branding & Content Creation- Internal Tech Support- Project Management- Recruiting Support- Nursery MaintenanceOne physical project I initiated was the tree staking initiative. Potted trees around the nursery were declining in quality due to irregular leaders and root-bound root balls. I streamlined the technical process to shorten the amount of time it took to stake a tree, making it easy for a team to follow suit. I also managed the company’s Instagram, Indeed, and LinkedIn profiles. I created engaging, informative content in hopes of educating our customer base in a fun way. I helped create job postings and worked with the hiring manager during the recruiting process.

As an after-school teacher I introduced Kindergartners to various extra-curricular topics such as gardening, art, play-doh, and storyline. Speaking in both Spanish and English, I was able to give lessons that the entire class understood and partook in. This role truly was a joy to be in.
