One of the projects that OceanSound Co., tries to work on is to innovate an artificial intelligence detection technology that could auto-detect the activities of Indo-Pacific Humpback Dolphins. With more than 4000 raw dolphin whistles collected, I, as the first intern of OceanSound, initiated the start of this project. During the first internship stage, I read and researched the background context of what our company does, underwater acoustics research, and the connections between underwater acoustic research with the Indo-Pacific Humpback Dolphins. In the second stage, from the 400 validated data of the 4000 raw data the company mined, I was responsible for further data preparation and data manipulations, so structured data could be formed in Excel. Additionally, the Raven Lite 2 app was used during the data preparation stage as well. In the final stage, from the data preparation stage I completed, I performed initial data analysis by creating visuals and performed a K-Means machine learning algorithm on the data to observe the trends that exist inside the big data using Python.The internship report can be seen either in the media section below or in the project section of bio.

Taiwan's military service is mandatory for all male citizens. I applied to finish the service in two summer terms (May 2019 - July 2019 and May 2020 - July 2020) to avoid conflict with my Bachelor's study. However, I still represented the Republic of China Army between the two summer terms. I participated in the regular schedule, classes, and physical training like full-time soldiers in the two service terms—serious manners of following schedule, sergeant instructions, and safety rules. I am also honored to Cheng-Kung Hill army unit to participate in the annual Hang Kuang Military Exercise hosted by the Taiwanese Armed Forces and cooperate with more than 100 units of professional soldiers for anti-invasion practice.
