My career experience and skills have grown over the last 20 years from being a young trainee in an equities firm fresh out of college with no real idea of how impactful the financial industry was in American society, to utilizing the full breadth of the financial markets both in the equities and commercial real estate sectors to create wealth generating opportunities for my clients and their families. Some would say I’ve been unlucky with regard to the timing of my entry into both my previous career in the equities industry which started out merely a week prior to the catastrophic events of September 11, and my entry into the commercial real estate industry which got underway during the real estate meltdown of the late 2000s, however the adversity that I was thrust into forced me to become a stronger, more focused, and creative professional in order to not only survive but also to thrive which has been an integral skill set that has enabled me to create opportunities for clients as well as myself even when the odds appeared stacked against us.In fact that very same adversity that I experienced coming into commercial real estate led me to develop what has become an important and integral part of my current business, Value-Add Commercial Real Estate. Being a new professional in commercial real estate during a market downturn forced me to look for opportunities in places where others had either failed to look, or looked and lacked the vision necessary to see the true possibilities of what could be, or they could have simply not been interested in the sheer amount of work, attention, and focus that it takes to transform a Value-Add property from a non-performing asset in rough physical condition to a quality asset that’s performing.Throughout the previous decade of my CRE career, I’ve gained significant experience in successfully working in concert with commercial real estate owners, asset managers, and property managers in the acquisition, improvement, marketing, lease up, and eventual successful disposition of Value-Add assets, consistently going way beyond standard expectations.In my current role as Senior Associate at First Capital Property Group I specialize in Landlord, Tenant, and Investor representation with a focus on Value-Add real estate in the office and retail sectors.In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my amazing wife and two children and mentoring at risk youth both in the community where I grew up in Stuart, FL as well as in Central Florida.
